The India ETF (INP) is actually an Exchange Traded Note provided by iPath investments and is linked to the performance of the Morgan Stanley Country Index India Total Return Index.  The INP exchange traded note is designed to provide a similar investment return to the overall Indian Stock Market Index as measured by the top 59 Indian companies listed on the National Stock Exchange of India. 

The INP exchange traded note represents approximately 85% of the equity security investments within India as measured by market capitalization, and represents price performance as well as income performance from the dividend payments on Indian equity securities included in the index.  The index is nondiversified and inclusion is based upon market capitalization.

INP Exchange Traded Fund Tracks the MSCI India Index Fund

The MSCI India Index is represents the largest 59 Indian based corporations that trade on the National Stock Exchange of India.  Inclusion within the index is based upon market capitalization size and the index is denominated in US Dollars.  To qualify for inclusion in the MSCI India Index the corporation must be incorporated in India and have equity securities issued that trade on the National Stock Exchange of India or the Bombay Stock Exchange.  India is the second most populated country in the world, has real gross domestic product growth of over 8% annually over the last 5 years.
